Hello World: The Beginning of My Systems Journey

Welcome to my blog!

I’m Jolmo, and this space is born out of a fundamental need: to document the learning process behind becoming an engineer capable of designing systems at mass scale.

Why Jolmo?

My name is my brand. I don’t need long titles because the work I talk about here is what defines me. This blog will be a repository of my technical challenges, my failures, and above all, my discoveries in the world of distributed systems.

Current Focus: Architecture & Cloud

Right now, I am deep into understanding how large-scale infrastructure moves, utilizing tools like Terraform and exploring AWS and Azure cloud ecosystems.

In the upcoming posts, you can expect content covering:

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Why Terraform is my best friend right now.
  • Go: The language I’m choosing to build the backend of the future.
  • Distributed Systems: Theoretical concepts applied to real-world problems.

My Commitment

I don’t claim to have all the answers. This blog is a conversation with myself and anyone else on a similar path. If you’re passionate about seeing how the guts of the internet are built, stick around.

Let’s begin!
